Alternative Medicine for pain and chronic illness in the Northampton area of the Pioneer Valley.
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are widely known to be effective for treating pain any where in the body. According to ancient texts acupuncture was originally used to treat Bi pain which is also called painful obstruction. Today we might call this arthritis. Chinese herbs have been used in China for 7000 years.
Less well known is the ability of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to treat chronic illnesses such as:
- Digestive issues.
- GYN issues: PMS, cramping, painful periods and menopause.
- Allergies and asthma.
- Headaches including migraines.
- Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
- MS and other autoimmune diseases.
- Dermatological problems including eczema, psoriasis and cradle cap.
- Emotional issues such as anxiety, ADD/ADHD, and mild depression.
- Neurological problems such as a pinched nerve, sciatica, Tourette's Syndrome, neuropathy in feet from type II diabetes (if treatment begins within 3- 6 months)
I have been licensed as an acupuncturist since 2001 and have treated all the above conditions. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine is beneficial for people of all ages. I have treated children from age 4 months and adults to age 90 +.
Here are some testimonials from my clients. Please email me or call with any questions or concerns you have about a situation you or your loved one is looking for help with.
